ThemeDay (hereinafter "the App") respects and protects every user's personal privacy. We collect only the minimum information needed to provide the features you use, and we will never use your personal data for advertising, facial recognition, model training, or any form of user profiling. Every echo you write belongs to you alone.
1. Device identifier: a randomly generated anonymous ID used to distinguish between devices. It contains no personally identifiable information. 2. Completion records: the dates you complete a theme, the intensity you choose (full / light / skip), and the number of steps completed. These are used to build your calendar and count consecutive days. 3. Echo text: the sentences you choose to write on the completion page. Echoes are stored only in your own iCloud Private Database. ThemeDay's servers do not store the text of your echoes. When you view your "Echo Archive" or echoes from others on the same theme, the App reads directly from your iCloud and performs no content analysis, keyword extraction, or sentiment recognition. 4. Nickname: kept only on your local device for the home page greeting. It is not uploaded to our servers. 5. Reminder preferences: your push notification time settings, kept only on your local device. 6. Apple account identifier: only when you actively purchase a theme pack or use a theme ticket to redeem content do we use Sign in with Apple to confirm an anonymous account identifier. This protects your theme tickets, saved content, and purchase restoration status.
We do not collect: real names, phone numbers, email addresses, ID numbers, location data, contacts, photos (unless you choose to save a share card), microphone audio, information about other apps on your device, browsing history, or any behavioral data used for ad targeting.
Your completion records and echoes are used only to: • show you your own calendar, statistics, today's recommendation, and past echoes; • sync between your local device and the server so your data isn't lost when you switch devices. We will not: • use your echo content for AI training, model fine-tuning, or any machine learning purpose; • sell, rent, or trade any of your data to third parties; • view, display, or aggregate individual echo content in any admin console; • run sentiment analysis, keyword extraction, or clustering on your text.
We store data in two separate places: • Behavioral data (completion dates, intensity, step counts, device identifier, etc.) is kept on servers we operate ourselves (located within mainland China) and transmitted over HTTPS. We apply strict access controls to the database; only authorized engineers may access it for maintenance purposes, and they do not look at any information that would link records to your identity. • Echo text is stored in your own iCloud Private Database, hosted by Apple's iCloud service, and only your own Apple ID can read or write it. ThemeDay's servers do not store echo content. If you have iCloud sync turned off or aren't signed in to iCloud, echoes will only be kept on the local device. In that case, switching devices means past echoes won't be available, but what you've written on this device still belongs to you alone. If you used an earlier version of ThemeDay (where echoes were saved on our servers), the App will automatically migrate those echoes to your iCloud when you upgrade, then delete the corresponding copies from our servers once migration is complete.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or event tracking tool. If we ever add a third-party service in the future, we will list it clearly in this policy and notify you in-app before integration.
You can at any time: • delete a single echo (long-press it in the Echo Archive); the deletion will sync to your iCloud; • close your account and delete all server-side data — contact us through the Settings page, or uninstall the App, and we will delete all of your server-side data within a reasonable period; • when closing your account, the App will ask for your confirmation before clearing the echo backups in your iCloud; if you'd rather keep what's in iCloud, you can choose to skip that step in the confirmation dialog.
The App is not directed at children under 14. If we discover that we have collected information from a child without a guardian's consent, we will delete the relevant data immediately.
If there are significant changes to this policy, we will give clear notice within the App. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated policy.
